DEPUTY Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein met the managing director, general man­agers and departmental heads of the Myanma Insurance (head office) in Yangon yesterday.

 

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister urged responsible personnel to strive towards the development of in­surance businesses collectively, the implementation of insurance protection schemes that ben­efit the public, and the estab­lishment of a systematic and prompt compensation process for damage and losses of the government and private due to the Mandalay earthquake, and to become a reliable insurance enterprise.

 

He then met the staff and briefed the directives of the gov­ernment and the ministry.

 

On arrival at the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank (head office), the managing di­rector and officials explained the work operations.

 

The Deputy Prime Minister also instructed the regional and state governments, as well as district and township loan su­pervisory teams, to draft plans to recover the debts, supervise to curb unnecessary crimes, and operate systematic banking ser­vices that support farmers.

 

He also cordially greeted the staff and gave proper in­structions. — MNA/KTZH
