In addition, textbooks tailored to each vocational specialization will be provided. Students attending these schools will also receive monthly stipends of K10,000 for ten months to support their education.

The Department of Alternative Education was established by the Ministry of Education to ensure that individuals who are eager to learn or further their education but who have been unable to follow the formal education system for various reasons still have access to learning opportunities. The department is focused on delivering literacy and alternative education programmes for those who have been excluded from formal education.
