Hlegu, 10 June

Hlegu Township in Yangon Region plans to cultivate a total of 81,569 acres of rain-fed paddy this year. To achieve this target, officials are actively conducting agricultural awareness campaigns, according to the Township Agriculture Department.

“Planting will begin in the second week of June, and we are working to educate farmers through fieldwork and awareness programmes to ensure we meet our target,” said U San Aung, Head of the Township Agriculture Department.

Under the supervision of the District Administration Body, officials from the Township Agriculture Department are working closely with farmers to provide guidance on best cultivation practices, with the goal of maximizing yields across the township.— Aye Aye Nwe (Hlegu)
