Einme, 16 June
Construction of a concrete bridge in Asukyi Village, Einme Township, Ayeyarwady Region, has been fully completed under the Emerald Green Project, which provides low-interest loans to support rural development initiatives.
Implemented by the Rural Development Department of Einme Township, the project aims to improve infrastructure and livelihoods in rural communities. The newly constructed bridge, now 100 percent complete, was funded in part by interest income from the Emerald Green Project loans.
The bridge measures 10 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and 5 feet in height. Construction costs totaled K10.3 million — including K5.3 million from loan interest proceeds and K5 million contributed by locals.
This new bridge is expected to benefit residents of Asukyi Village and nearby communities by improving transportation and connectivity within the township.— Chit Thet Le
