The Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank (Chaungzon Branch) has been disbursing loans for 2025 rainy season paddy cultivation since 19 May. As of 20 June, a total of Ks. 516.63 million in loans has been provided, enabling the cultivation of 27,095 acres of paddy.
The township plans to disburse Ks. 5.166 billion in total for this year’s cultivation. So far, 931 farmers from 22 village tracts have received funding for 5,972 acres. The bank has already disbursed Ks. 895.8 million, with further disbursements planned to support remaining farmers and ensure timely planting across the township.— Ko Kyaw (Chaungzon)
