THE Township Public Health Departments in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions have actively administered Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to hundreds of residents, officials, and workers in recent days, targeting individuals over 18 who are either unvaccinated or due for a booster dose.
In Yankin Township, Yangon Region, the Township Public Health Department administered the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination at its office on the morning of 18 June. A total of 642 people, including 42 departmental personnel and 600 civilians, were vaccinated in the township. The vaccinations were given to individuals over the age of 18 who had never received a COVID vaccine and to those whose last vaccination was six months ago.
In Kyweku Village in Myeik Township, Taninthayi Region, 300 residents and shipyard workers were vaccinated with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine by staff from the Township Public Health Department on 22 June at the shipyard hall.
In Myeik Township, COVID-19 vaccinations have been provided since 16 June to employees and their family members aged 18 and above, monks, and residents of the wards and villages.
