AFTER being devastated by the earthquake, Mandalay has been active again with visitors, especially on public holidays, according to Mandalay residents.
“Pagodas have been reopened so people can go on pilgrimage. These are natural landscapes, and it is still beautiful whenever you see. Visitor arrival has resumed, and it is visible on public holidays,” said a resident.
Some highway bus terminals have resumed as usual, so travelling is fine, he said. The earthquake left damage in Mandalay Region. Some people have already done house repairs and reconstruction, and some have yet to be completed.
