CHAIRMAN U Khin Maung Than of the Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central) and his delegation, including Vice-Chairperson Daw Moe Moe Htun, U Tint Swe, Daw Thet Thet Khine, and YRESA Chairperson Daw Myat Mo Mo departed for Tokyo, Japan, on 24 June to attend the 2025 JARECO Conference, which was held on 26 June at Nihon University, at the invitation of JARECO (Japan-American Real Estate Coalition Organization).

During the conference on 26 June, a Bilateral Partnership Agreement was successfully signed between Mr Kevin Sears, President of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) from the United States, and U Khin Maung Than, President of MRESA. Following the successful signing, the American Global Association officially recognized MRESA as meeting international real estate standards.

Next, MRESA representatives, including Chairman U Khin Maung Than and YRESA Chairperson Daw Myat Mo Mo, also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JARECO, the Japan–American Real Estate Coalition Organization and the Long Island Board of Realtors. The signing ceremony saw Mr Yoshi Takita, BOD of JARECO, and Professor Masayuki Nakagawa, Chair of JARECO.

Thanks to these agreements, MRESA real estate agents will benefit from shared knowledge and professional expertise, training opportunities and collaboration with international partners. Moreover, Myanmar’s real estate agents are expected to establish international connections and gain access to the global real estate community. — Arkar Linn/KZL
