MYANMAR will take on Bangladesh this evening in a Group C encounter of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers, as both sides vie for the top spot after dominant wins in their opening matches.
The match kicks off at 4 pm at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre. Later in the day, Bahrain will face Turkmenistan at 7 pm.
Myanmar cruised past Turkmenistan 8-0. In their first match, Bangladesh delivered a 7-0 win over Bahrain, setting the stage for today’s showdown between the two strongest teams in the group.
A win for either side would all but seal their place in the next round, making this fixture a virtual group decider. Myanmar will look to capitalize on home advantage, while Bangladesh arrives with rising form under the guidance of their head coach, who is a former Yangon United manager. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
