THE Refresher Course 1/2025 for staff members at the Trustee Board Office of the Shwedagon Pagoda has been launched.
The opening ceremony was held at the Daw Ngwe Zin worshipping open hall (the pagoda’s water service association hall).
U Bo Thin, Rotating Chair of the Board, spoke at the opening of the course, and staff officer Daw Thin Thin Khaing and accountant U Hla Thein from the training school of the Yangon City Development Committee gave welcoming remarks.
A total of 50 trainees will attend the course from 1 to 31 July, where officer letter writing and accountancy will be taught.
During the Buddhist lent, the Shwedagon Pagoda will feature the Wheel of Dhamma Day on the full moon of Waso, offering sacred Waso golden lotus robes, the Metta Day on the full moon of Wagaung, offering 84,000 flowers, the Garu Dhamma Day on the full moon of Tawthalin, public Dhamma courses, ceremonies to vow to keep precepts and Buddha Pujaniya events, according to the Shwedagon Trustee Board. — Htun Htun/ZN
