IN celebration of the 103rd International Co-operatives Day, which falls on 5 July, a pre-event market festival featuring products from all 44 townships of Yangon Region is being held.
The market opened today at 8 am within the premises of the Yangon Region Co-operative Department Office in Bahan Township.
The event was formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by U Zaw Win, Minister for Natural Resources of the Yangon Region government, the director of the Yangon Region Co-operative Department, and the chairperson of the Yangon Region Co-operative Syndicate.
Following the opening, the regional minister and departmental officials toured the market, where 46 stalls have been set up. These stalls display and sell products from various co-operative associations, basic-level co-operatives, and locally made goods from the townships across Yangon Region. — Arkar Linn/MKKS
