The Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank (MADB) branch in Ngape Township, Minbu District, Magway Region, disbursed loans for the 2025 rainy season crops to farmers in Myithpya Village Tract this morning. So far, the bank has provided over Ks 300,000 in loans for rainy season crops in the area.

At the event, Daw Khin Soe Yi, Manager of the MADB Ngape Branch, discussed the loan program and disbursed Ks 24.7 million to 54 farmers cultivating a total of 196 acres—comprising 102 acres of rain-fed paddy and 94 acres of sesame. The loan rates were Ks 150,000 per acre for rain-fed paddy and Ks 100,000 per acre for other crops.

The MADB in Ngape Township has been distributing monsoon agricultural loans since May. As of now, 699 farmers from 12 village tracts have received a total of Ks 311.1 million in loans for 2,510 acres of monsoon crops. Farmers from the remaining village tracts are expected to receive their loans within the designated period.— Ma Yu (Ngape)
