A combined team led by Police Sub-Inspector Ye Lin Htet from Nanywun Township destroyed five acres of poppy fields about 15 miles south of Taka Village, Nanywun Township, Gangaw District, Sagaing Region on 11 March, according to the information released by the Myanmar Police Force.

In a similar incident, a combined team led by Police Sub-Inspector Zaw Myo from Pansay Region Police Station removed four acres of poppy fields near Takunt Village in Namhkam Township, Shan State on 12 March while a combined team led by Police Sub-Inspector Yelin Htet wiped out 21 acres of poppy fields 17 miles south of Taka Village Nanywun Township, Sagaing Region.—MPF
