Municipal elections will be held in 33 townships in Yangon City on 31 March simultaneously.

A training course for polling station officers who will serve at 152 voting booths took place at No.3 Basic Education High School in Dagon Myothit (North) in Yangon Region this morning. Firstly, Chairman of the township development committee U Thaung Sein explained the purpose of the training course, saying that the course aims to help polling station officers serve their duties in accordance with the laws and bylaws.

An official from the township sub-commission also clarified matters relating to “Do’s and Don’ts” in the polling stations. The two-day training course is being attended by 236 trainees.— IPRD
