Kyaukse, 19 March
Regional lawmaker U Aung Kyi together with Village-tract administrator U Win Tun and construction in-charge U Kyi Maung inspected reconstruction of two rural bridges in Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region this morning.
The regional MP also called for timely completion of the tasks, urging concerned officials to emphasize on the durability of the bridge. The two bridges are being built with Ks. 4.5 million from the regional government’s development fund. The bridges measure 16 ft. in length, 4 ft. in width and are 2 ft. thick and can withstand up to 10 tons of weight.
Upon completion of the bridge, local people from six villages will be able to use the new bridge in all seasons with greater ease.—IPRD
