Myanmar basic dance competitions were held at the community center of the Township Information and Public Relations Department in the town of Myittha, Myittha Township, Mandalay Region this morning.
    

The Myanmar basic dancing course for school children was conducted from March 4 to 17 with the aim of encouraging the youths to cherish and maintain the dance which was solely accompanied by rhythmic beats (without lyrics). 
    

Eight contestants in the first level (junior), eight contestants in the first level (senior), two contestants in the first level (male) and six contestants in the second level participated in the competitions.
    

Prizes will be given to the winners in the prize-presenting ceremony to be held on 19 March, it is learnt.—Township IPRD
