Officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement presented humanitarian aid to displaced people in Ponnagyun Township, Rakhine State on 19 March.

The number of displaced people taking shelter at temporary rescue camps totaled 582 from 135 households from six villages. The DDM officials provided clothing, blankets, plastic mats, rice and Ks. 5.238 million of cash to displaced people who left their homes due to various reasons.—Tin Tun (IPRD)
