Altogether 62 illegal migrant workers—51 men and 9 women, 2 children who were without proper documents were handed over by Thai authorities to their Myanmar counterparts yesterday. The hand-over took place at the border town of Kawthoung, Taninthayi Region yesterday.
The returnee workers were accepted by Kawthoung District General Administration Department, Labor, Immigration and Population Department, Anti-trafficking in Person Division of Myanmar Police Force, Labor Department.
The returnees underwent medical check-ups before being sent to their natives.—Kyaw Soe (Kawthaung)
