IT is reported that the Myan­mar Social Rescue Association (Mandalay Regional Office) donated 29 types of consum­er goods to 24 families from 16 houses affected by a fire in Mandalay.

 

The donated items pro­vided to each family included one 16-gallon plastic contain­er, one handled water bucket, nine small towels, two stain­less steel drinking cups, three tubes of toothpaste, three bars of laundry soap, three packs of detergent powder, one bottle of shampoo, five rolls of tissue pa­per, two combs, one mirror, two nail clippers, one sleeping mat, five bars of bathing soap, one pack of five razors, one han­dled bathing scoop, three plas­tic basins, one women’s longyi, four packs of women’s sanitary products, one brassiere, one pair of women’s undercloth­ing, one pair of footwear, two clothes-washing brushes, one sports shirt, three sachets of shampoo, one blanket, one sleeping mat, two soap cases, and five toothbrushes.

 

The fire broke out at 12:45 pm on 7 February in Myantann Ward, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region, affecting residential houses. Upon re­ceiving the report, the Myan­mar Social Rescue Association (Mandalay Regional Office) dispatched water tankers with capacities of 2,200 and 3,800 gallons, ambulances, and re­gional office members to the scene, where they worked together with firefighters to provide assistance.
