THE signing ceremony of MoU between Myanmar and India for supply of lab equipment and apparatus to the Naypyitaw State Academy was organized at the academy yesterday.
It was attended by Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein, Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint, directors-general of the relevant departments, the rector, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur and other officials.
At the event, the Indian ambassador explained the intention of MoU to promote bilateral cooperation in education sector, strengthen bilateral relations and also underscored India’s commitment to provide advanced laboratory equipment for Myanmar’s education sector.
The deputy minister and Indian ambassador signed the MoU.
The Union minister also talked about the signing of MoU that showed a meaningful result of bilateral relations, and added that through the MoU, modern equipment including physics and chemistry laboratory apparatus, scientific research materials, laboratory instruments, and supporting software will be provided, which will contribute to the teaching, learning, and research activities of Naypyitaw State Academy. She then expressed gratitude, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, to Indian government and those who participated in the MoU signing processes.
On behalf of the Union minister, Rector Dr Nu Nu Lwin of the Naypyitaw State Academy presented a commemorative gift, which was received by the Indian ambassador, who in turn presented commemorative gifts to the Union minister and the deputy minister. — MNA/KTZH
