AT the Union-level MSME Products Exhibition and Mar­ket Fair being held at Nay Pyi Taw Square from 8 to 13 Feb­ruary, services are being pro­vided at the Business Match­ing Pavilion to connect MSME products from the regions and states with markets, support­ing entrepreneurs from the in­itial stage of establishing their businesses through to domes­tic sales and eventual export to international markets.

 

During the exhibition pe­riod, MSME entrepreneurs are being linked with rele­vant departments through the Ministry Coordination Team. These include the De­partment of Trade for exporter and importer registration cer­tificates, the Food and Drug Administration for FDA cer­tification, the Department of Intellectual Property for trade­mark registration, and other departments for import and export endorsement matters.

 

Services are also being provided by the Domestic Mar­ket Linkage Team to enable MSME entrepreneurs to dis­play and sell regional products at local retail and wholesale outlets such as Makro, City Mart, One Stop Mart and Aeon.

 

In addition, the Invest­ment Linkage Team is facil­itating connections between MSME entrepreneurs and domestic banks, including Kanbawza Bank, CB Bank, AYA Bank and SME Devel­opment Bank, to help them obtain the financial resources and loans required to establish new businesses or expand ex­isting ones.

 

To assist MSME products in entering overseas markets, the Overseas Market Linkage Team is coordinating with 16 commercial attachés assigned to 12 countries.

 

On the fourth day of the exhibition, the Ministry Co­ordination Team connected with 73 MSME entrepreneurs, the Domestic Market Linkage Team facilitated meetings be­tween 56 entrepreneurs and 12 retail and wholesale out­lets, the Investment Linkage Team arranged meetings be­tween 39 entrepreneurs and 13 banks, and the Overseas Market Linkage Team con­nected with 15 entrepreneurs.

 

From 8 to 11 February 2026, at the Business Match­ing Pavilion, the Ministry Co­ordination Team met a total of 313 MSME entrepreneurs, the Domestic Market Link­age Team facilitated meet­ings between a total of 221 entrepreneurs and 12 retail and wholesale outlets, the In­vestment Linkage Team ar­ranged meetings between a total of 167 entrepreneurs and 14 banks, and the Overseas Market Linkage Team con­nected with a total of 57 en­trepreneurs. — MNA/MKKS
