THE second-day session of the fourth plenary meeting of the Ninth 47-Member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was administered at the Wizaya Mingala Dhamma Thabin of Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon yesterday.

 

Present at the occasion were members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Com­mittee led by Presiding Nay­aka Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtamapyan Monas­tery, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Aggamaha Saddhamma jotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and other relevant officials.

 

Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivam­sa presided over the meeting. Joint Secretary Sayadaw Ag­gamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja acted as the master of ceremonies. Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin reported on religious affairs-re­lated matters.

 

Then, Sayadaws reported on Vinicchaya, religious affairs and educational matters. The Sayadaws discussed Vinic­chaya affairs and concluded the first session.

 

The Vinicchaya affairs, religious-related matters and educational matters were dis­cussed by the Sayadaws at the second session at 1 pm.

 

Disciples under the aus­pices of Kyaikkasan Wailu­wun (Shwegyin) Monastery, Sayadaw Maha Saddhamma­jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Mani­ta offered alms for the whole day to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee member Sayadaws who attended the ceremony yesterday. — MNA/ KTZH
