A rice offering ceremony to mark 79^th birthday anniversary of Rector of Sitagu International Buddhist Academy in Sagaing and the International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University Dr. Nandamālābhivamsa was held in the precinct of Kaunghmudaw Pagoda in Sagaing this morning.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister of Sagaing Region Dr. Myint Naing and his wife, the speaker of the regional parliament, regional cabinet members and their wives, the lawmakers, departmental officials and well-wishers.

The chief minister and donors offered rice, cash and kind to 1000 nuns and shared the merit gained.—Tun Ko Ko (Yinmabin)
