A traditional martial arts training course for local youths was opened in Yekyi Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday afternoon.

The training course was conducted under the guidance of the Myanmar Thaing Federation and the General Administration Department with the sponsorship of traditional martial arts enthusiasts. Two course instructors from the Myanmar Thaing Federation explained the purpose of the course. The trainees are being given training about basic techniques of Bando.

The 12-day training course is being attended by more than 30 trainees above 10 years old throughout the township.—Aung Thu Han (IPRD)
