The graduation dinner for 129th intake of the Tatmad­aw (Army) Officer Training School (Bahtoo) Thiha Com­pany was held yesterday evening at the Military Appointments Hall of the school in Bahtoo Township. The ceremony was attended by Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Vice-Chairman of the State Se­curity and Peace Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Ser­vices, and Commander-in-Chief (Army), on behalf of the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services.

 

The ceremony was attended by Daw Than Than Nwe, wife of the Vice-Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Deputy Command­er-in-Chief of the Defence Services, and Commander-in-Chief (Army), Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, senior Tat­madaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, the commander of Eastern Command and his wife, senior Tatmadaw officers and their wives from the Bahtoo Station, parents and relatives of the graduating cadets, instructors and teachers from the school, and guests.

 

The Vice-Senior General, along with his team, first warmly greeted the graduating officers before having dinner together.

 

After dinner, the Vice-Senior Gener­al and his team watched a performance by the Tatmadaw (Army) Officer Train­ing School (Bahtoo) band in honour of the occasion, before presenting cash awards.

 

Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General and his team, together with the graduat­ing officers, watched a performance by a troupe from the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare at the concert hall. — MNA/TH
