A coordination meeting on trade facilitation at the Kampai­ti temporary vehicle inspection zone, based in Mongna, was held on 8 March at the Malika Hall of the Kachin State gov­ernment office.

Kachin State Chief Minis­ter U Khet Htein Nan urged of­ficials to exert efforts in ensur­ing goods entering Myitkyina from the neighbouring country are legitimized, granting im­port permits with valid import licences to prevent shortages of goods, and applicable taxes and duties to be paid. As the Kam­paiti One-Stop Service (OSS) team has commenced opera­tions since 6 March at the foot of the Shwemotaung Pagoda in Mongna Village, Waingmaw Township, he urged concerted efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of inspection activities.

 

Attendees raised matters regarding the opening of the temporary vehicle inspection zone and trade activities in line with directives and Standard Operating Procedures, require­ments in inspecting trucks by the OSS, parking area and se­curity matters, and he coordi­nated necessary matters in the respective sectors. — NN/KK
