Fire woods were distributed free of charge to local people by the Township Dry Zone Greening Department at No-1 Environmental Conservation Station near  the village of Sitha in Myothit township, Magway District, Magway Region this morning.

In the event, MP U Than Swe of the Regional Hluttaw made a speech. Then, U Moe Zaw Naing, head of the Township DZGD underlined the need for protection of forests so as to prevent deforestation in the region.

Then, MP U Than Swe and departmental officials gave away over ten tons of fire woods produced from the 200- acre tree plantation to the local people.—Than Win Tun ( Myothit)
