A motorcyclist was killed in a car accident on Yangon-MawlaMyine road in Pangone village in the township of Paung, Thaton district, Mon state this morning.

Shortly after information received, Police Inspector Ye Lin Naung and officials rushed to the scene to inspect the incident. The authorities were reported that a motorcycle driven by Myint Tun, 40, with Zay Yar, 15, on board, overtook a car and veered to another traffic, which made it to collide head-on with a 12-wheeled truck driven by Aung Nyi Nyi, 32, coming from the opposite direction.

The accident left Myint Tun Naing dead on the spot and Zay Yar, the pillion rider slightly injured.

Action is being taken against Myint Tun Naing for reckless driving by Paung Myoma police station.—Ko Hein ( Paung)
