Under the program of Gangaw District Agricultural Department, agricultural awareness discussion was conducted in Htanbingone village, Htilin Township yesterday. 

At the discussion, an official from the Agricultural Department clarified about pests and diseases found in crops and preventative measures to the farmers. In addition, they shared how to use pesticide systematically and distributed fungicide to the attendees.

Next, another official also explained about techniques of soil restoration and systematic utilization of chemical and organic fertilizer. In addition, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) was also disclosed by officials, followed by a Q and A session.

A total of 50 local farmers were in attendance and pamphlets on agricultural methods were distributed.
