Padaung, March 24

Relief items and financial assistance were distributed to households affected by strong winds during a ceremony held at the Township General Administration Department in Padaung Township, Pyay District, Bago Region yesterday afternoon.

U Aung Thura, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, delivered the opening remarks. Daw Aye Aye Maw, Head of the Township Disaster Management Department, explained the purpose of the assistance, while U Win Kyaing from the District Red Cross Society outlined the relief support provided by the Myanmar Red Cross Society.

Officials then distributed relief supplies and cash assistance to five households from Sinte and Tet Thit Kyun villages that were impacted by the strong winds.— La Pyae Linn (IPRD)
