Kyaunggon, March 26
To commemorate the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, an opening ceremony for a new two-story school building was held in Kyaunggon Township, Ayeyarwady Region, at 7:20 a.m. yesterday.
The ceremony was attended by Ayeyarwady Region Hluttaw Speaker U Thein Tun, regional Minister for Social Affairs U Khin Maung Kyi, the Region Education Officer U Khin Maung Htwe, Chairman of the Kyonepyaw District Administration and Management Committee U Saw Tun Win, and School Trustee U Kyaw Aung. The officials formally inaugurated the building by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and sprinkling scented water on the school signboard.
The new reinforced concrete (RCC) two-story building measures 110 feet in length and 30 feet in width. It was constructed by Sweet Top Construction Company at a cost of K508.36 million, funded under the Union Budget for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.—Win Kyaing (IPRD)
