ACCORDING to the Ministry of Health, the University of Nursing, Yangon, has successfully trained and conferred degrees upon a total of four PhDs in Nursing, 279 Master’s of Nursing Science, 956 Speciality Nursing Diplomas, and 6,113 Bachelors of Nursing Science, including those from this year’s convocation.
The 30th and 31st convocation ceremonies of the university were held on 29 March at its convocation hall. Graduating students recited the nursing oath, and Dr Kyaw Shwe, Rector of the university, formally conferred the degrees. The ministry reported the following figures: PhD in Nursing 1; Master of Nursing Science 20; BNSc (Bridge) (Distance Education) 76; BNSc (Bridge) (On-Campus) 152; BNSc (Regular) (1/2025) 84; speciality nursing diploma 23; 31st convocation: Diploma in Emergency Nursing 1; and BNSc (Regular) (5/2025) 253.
The 30th Convocation ceremony was attended by the Rector, members of the Board of Academics, and members of the Board of Administration. To date, including this year’s graduates, the University of Nursing, Yangon, has successfully produced and conferred degrees upon: four PhD graduates, 279 Master’s degree graduates, 956 Speciality Diploma holders, and 6,113 Bachelor of Nursing Science graduates. — MT/ZN
