THE award ceremony marking the 79th anniversary of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare under the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) was held yesterday evening at the No 2 TV Broadcasting Unit in Taungnyo of Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony began with a speech by Chairperson Lt-Gen Zaw Hein of the Psychological Affairs and Public Relations Committee, followed by the presentation of awards. Recipients included winners of the best cartoon, poetry, essay, short story, and long story categories in Myawady, Ngwetayi, and Thuta Alin magazines, as well as domestic and international competition winners. Each recipient received a certificate of recognition and prizes individually.
Additionally, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander presented awards to staff and officers who served for ten years in the Tatmadaw Broadcasting and Television Units and Myawady Publishing House and Newspaper Houses.
Finally, the director of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfore presented awards to outstanding officers, soldiers, and staff from the Tatmadaw Broadcasting and Television Units, Myawaddy Publishing House, and Myawaddy Newspaper House.
Following the ceremony, all attending senior officers and guests were hosted at a formal dinner reception. — MNA/KZL
