THE Yangon General Hospital (YGH) said on 11 May that the Department of Gastroenterology’s outpatient ward timetable has been changed.
According to the new timetable, new patients will be accepted on Monday and Thursday, and old patients will be accepted on Tuesday and Friday, while both old and new patients with inflammatory bowel disease will be accepted on Wednesday.
Previously, the GI Department’s outpatient ward was open from 8 am to 10 am on Monday, Thursday and Friday and from 1 pm to 4 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win visited YGH on 2 May and met the hospital officials. During the meeting, he emphasized the wider scope of the universal health coverage, reducing the patient waiting time, offering more systematic medical services and a warm relationship towards the public and patients and ensuring an employee code of conduct. — MT/ZS
