THREE education staff were injured when PDF terrorists launched two FPV suicide drones at the Basic Education High School (Branch) (Aung Zeya) in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region, on 12 May.
The attack occurred at around 11:45 am while teachers and office staff were carrying out preparations for the upcoming school reopening season, including student enrollment and classroom arrangements. The drones were launched from about 2,600 metres west of Indaw and exploded inside the school compound, damaging school buildings, and one headteacher of the primary school and two office staff were injured.
PDFs intentionally launched attacks on non-military targets, such as educational buildings where students peacefully study, and such action is considered a war crime under the Geneva Conventions and international law. Locals strongly condemn and reject these acts of violence, and security forces are intensifying security measures. — MNA/KTZH
