A ceremony to launch a new concrete road constructed by Rural Development Department with the fund allotted by regional government in the 2018 mini-fiscal year was held in front of the archwy in the Yepawkan village in Thongwa Township, Yangon region yesterday. 

The Region Hluttaw speaker U Tin Maung Tun, MPs U Nay Win and U Myo Swe of the Region Hluttaw, the Township Administrator U Kyaw Myo Naing and the organizing committee chairman U Kyaw Lwin opened the newly-built concrete road by cutting a ribbon. 

The new concrete road measures two miles and four furlongs long, 12 feet wide and seven inches thick. The new facility that links Thongwa town with Nanyaw and Yepawkan villages was constructed for bringing about better transport in the region.— Kyaw San
