A ceremony to open a basic fish breeding and fish hatching course (3/2019) was held at Kanbawza hall in the town of Moenai in Linkae district, Shan state this morning with opening speeches made by U Tin Tun Lin, head of Shan State Fisheries Department and U Soe Htut, the Township Administrator.

Then, U Aing Zaw Win, head of the District Fisheries Department explained the purpose of the course, detailing the benefits that will be derived from the course.

The aim of the course is to develop fisheries in the state, to produce sufficient fish, to boost fish production, to prevent fish species from being extinct, to uplift the socio economic status of local people to contribute to the development of the state economy, to enhance the livelihood of the rural people and to generate the incomes of families in the region.
