TO widely inform parents and the public about the school enrolment week, the posters bearing the motto “Let’s En­rol All School-Age Children for Sustainable Development of the Country”, were erected yesterday morning at schools in Myeik.

 

The posters bearing the motto “Let’s Enrol All School- Age Children for Sustainable Development of the Country”. measuring six feet by three feet each, were erected at BEHS 1, BEMS 5 and BEHS 5 by town­ship management and admin­istration committee chairman U Pyi Hein Kyaw, district ed­ucation officer U Than Htike, departmental officials, head­teachers, and teachers.

 

The school enrolment week is from 25 to 31 May, and officials will continue installing awareness posters and notic­es to widely inform parents and the public, including in­structions for principals and teachers, appeals to parents and guardians, enrolment cam­paign notices, and information related to school enrolment activities. The schools are scheduled to open on 1 June nationwide.

According to the Township Education Office, preparations are currently underway at var­ious schools in Myeik township to enable students to attend classes for the 2026-2027 ac­ademic year. In Myeik town­ship, there are 18 high schools, eight high schools (branch), 12 middle schools, nine middle schools (branch), 24 post-pri­mary schools, 72 primary schools, five private schools, and eight monastic schools. — Khine Htoo (IPRD)/KTZH
