THE School Enrolment Day Ceremony was held for the 2026-2027 Academic Year yes­terday at the Zabu Shwekya hall of Zabuthiri Township No 14 Basic Education High School, Nay Pyi Taw.

 

The ceremony was at­tended by Union Minister Dr Chaw Chaw Sein, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Kan Myint Than, Deputy Minister U Nay Myo Hlaing, Nay Pyi Taw Council members and officials, township education officers, school principals, par­ents and students.

 

Students from Zabuthiri Township No 11 Basic Educa­tion High School opened the ceremony by singing the song “Let’s Enrol”.

 

The Union minister spoke on the occasion that education in the 21st century is the most important need for the future of children, so special atten­tion must be paid to ensuring that children do not lose out on education, all education workers, parents and the pub­lic to work together to imple­ment the School Enrolment Week theme of “Let’s Enrol All School-Age Children for Sustainable Development of the Country,”

 

Afterwards, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Kan My­int Than delivered a speech, and the Union minister and team presented free text­books, stationery, school uni­forms and school assistance.

They also observed the enrolment of students in each classroom and provided them with textbooks and stationery. — MNA/MKKS
