OFFICIALS from Hsihseng Township Rural Development Department, Shan State (South), conducted a field inspection yes­terday to review the completion of an inner-village sandy road construction project implement­ed under the Village Develop­ment Project (VDP) in Tikalaing Village.

 

The project was carried out with the aim of improving rural transport and ensuring better connectivity for residents. Dur­ing the inspection, Township Head of the Department of Rural Development, Daw Thein Nwet Oo, together with departmental staff and members of the Village Project Committee, inspected the completed sandy road, meas­uring 2,500 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and five inches in thick­ness.

 

The township head also met village elders and residents, en­couraging them to cooperate in maintaining the upgraded road to ensure its long-term sustainabili­ty and addressing their concerns and suggestions.

 

The infrastructure project was implemented by local villag­ers with technical assistance and close supervision from township department officials. Funded with K15 million under the VDP pro­gramme, along with public con­tributions, the project has now been fully completed at 100 per cent. — Sein Lwin (Rural)
