President U Win Myint received a Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR) delegation led by Minister of Public Security Police Lt-Gen Vilay Larkhamfong at the Presidential palace envoys hall yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting increasing bilateral cooperation, cooperating in regional and international matters, cross border crime, illegal arms trade, anti-drug and anti-human trafficking works, bilateral cooperation in rule of law works along Mekong River, human resources development, two ministries of the two countries learning each other’s languages, upgrading the Myanmar-Lao Friendship Bridge as a border gate and bilateral investment and trade matters were cordially and openly discussed and views exchanged.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe, U Min Thu and officials. — MNA
