THE Small-Scale Industries Department under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Kachin State, organ­ized a discussion and experience-sharing event aimed at promoting value-added production of local agricultural and live­stock products and enabling MSME en­trepreneurs to exchange experiences yesterday afternoon.

Kachin State Minister for Agricul­ture, Livestock and Irrigation U Ye Yint Swe stated that agricultural and livestock products from Kachin State should be combined with technologies provided by the Small-Scale Industries Department to produce value-added products for domes­tic and international markets.

MSME entrepreneurs attending the event then introduced themselves individ­ually and presented the challenges they are facing in their businesses. The state minister coordinated and facilitated the necessary support measures and viewed the locally produced value-added products displayed at the venue. Entrepreneurs also exchanged experiences from trade fairs and competitions and discussed pro­duction technologies. — Karan (Rural)
