A coordination meeting was held online yesterday morning to facilitate the transport of 271.185 tonnes of sawn timber from Kalay in Sagaing Region to Chin State for development, rehabilitation and reconstruction projects.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Than Soe, Chairman of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, and other officials.
Participants discussed detailed arrangements to ensure the smooth transport of timber required for development and reconstruction work in Chin State. The shipment includes 190 tonnes for Falam, 30 tonnes for Tiddim and 51.185 tonnes for Tonzang, all of which will be transported via Kale.
Officials focused on coordinating logistics and transport measures to ensure that the timber reaches the respective townships efficiently to support ongoing rebuilding efforts. — MNA/KZL
