OFFICIALS of the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development conducted a field inspection of agriculture and livestock breeding activities being carried out with the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project funds in Palana (4) Yuzana Myaing Village in Myitkyina, Kachin State, yesterday morning.
During the inspection, U Nay Thurein Sein Hla, Head of the Myitkyina Township Department of Rural Development, and officials observed agriculture and livestock breeding activities being undertaken by project members in Palana (4) Yuzana Myaing Village. They also checked whether the monthly financial records prepared by project committee members were complete and accurate and coordinated necessary assistance in response to village submissions.
The Mya Sein Yaung Village Project was implemented in Palana (4) Yuzana Myaing Village in the 2015-2016 financial year, spending a fund of K30 million. At present, the revolving funds totalling K77.6 million have been disbursed at low interest rates to 89 project members in the village, and the project activities are being successfully operated and implemented. — Cho Than Nyunt (Rural)
