TATMADAW columns tried to regain control of and reopen the Kalay-Tamu route, an important trade corridor between Myanmar and India.
On 15 June, the Tatmadaw column marching from Kalay reoccupied Yanmyoaung village, whereas Sawbwa Yeshin village on 16 June and Kyundaw Yeshin village on 17 June. Terrorists used religious and public buildings as their camps.
Tatmadaw columns will clear up the damage, conduct mine clearance operations and rehabilitation activities. Moreover, they will beef up security measures to region control of and reopen Kalay-Tamu route aiming at promoting socioeconomic status of locals. — MNA/ KTZH
