TATMADAW columns tried to regain control of and reopen the Kalay-Ta­mu route, an important trade corridor between Myanmar and India.

 

On 15 June, the Tat­madaw column marching from Kalay reoccupied Yanmyoaung village, whereas Sawbwa Yeshin village on 16 June and Kyundaw Yeshin village on 17 June. Terrorists used religious and public buildings as their camps.

 

Tatmadaw columns will clear up the damage, conduct mine clearance operations and rehabili­tation activities. Moreo­ver, they will beef up se­curity measures to region control of and reopen Ka­lay-Tamu route aiming at promoting socioeconomic status of locals. — MNA/ KTZH
