RANGOON Cycling Club won the overall title at the 64th National Cycling Championship, which concluded yesterday at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Yangon.
Held from 26 to 28 June under the directives of the Ministry of Sports and the Yangon Region Government, the championship was organized by the Myanmar Cycling Federation in cooperation with Myan Shwe Pyi Tractor Ltd. More than 200 cyclists competed in mountain bike, road race and criterium events.
After the races, officials presented cash prizes, medals and awards to the top three finishers and the best male and female cyclists. Rangoon Cycling Club claimed the overall title after recording the highest combined points in the men's elite 100-kilometre road race and 26-kilometre criterium. — Bala/KZL
