Myothit Township in Magway Region has set a target of cultivating 64,201 acres of rain-fed paddy during the 2026–2027 growing season. As of early July, 5,322 acres had been planted, according to the Township Agriculture Department.

To support paddy cultivation, the Township Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department is supplying irrigation water from Natmauk, Pulin, Swan and Saddan dams.

During the planting season, the Township Agriculture Department has been providing farmers with technical assistance, including guidance on selecting high-yielding varieties suited to local conditions, adopting proper planting methods, and applying fertilizers efficiently to help improve productivity.—Than Win Htun (IPRD)
