The 2026 Rainy Season District-Level Collective Tree-Planting Ceremony, organized under the leadership of the Monywa District Forest Department, was held at 8:00 a.m. on June 29 near the Dhamayone at Monywa University.
The ceremony was attended by U Myo Tint Zaw, Chairman of the Monywa District Management and Administration Committee, along with district and township-level departmental officials, representatives of social organizations, invited guests, and local participants. Attendees planted tree seedlings at designated locations as part of the collective tree-planting campaign.
Following the planting activity, the District Administrator toured the site, posed for a commemorative group photograph, and officially concluded the ceremony.
A total of 339 seedlings representing ten tree species were planted during the event. The species included Padauk, Pyinkadoe, Mahogany, Mezali, Khayee, Yeetamar, Phyauksate, Matakut, Tamar, and Kantkaw.—District (IPRD)
