THE Association of Myanmar-Japan Socio-Economic Development Cooperation (AMJSEDC) is currently implementing plans to restore the historic “Japan Pagoda and Peace Pillars” on Sagaing Hill to their original state after they were damaged and collapsed during a major earthquake in Mandalay.

The AMJSEDC has taken the lead in the restoration project and has already begun initial fundraising efforts. While the project has commenced using contributions from association members, it has issued a public notice stating that further support and donations from the public are needed to ensure the restoration is completed within one year.

It is intended to promote long-term friendship between Myanmar and Japan and to help preserve historical heritage. The public is invited to participate in it with donation information: Bank Name: UAB on Nguwah Steet in Ahlon, Account No: 0481 0601 0000 4428, Name: Association of Myanmar Japan Socio-Economic Development Cooperation, Account Type: Special Call.
