Upper Minhla, July 9

The Forest Department in Minhla Township, Magway Region, held the second rainy season tree-planting ceremony of 2026 along the Thayet–Minhla Road at Milepost 52/0 on July 9 to promote environmental conservation and a greener landscape.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee U Than Htun Aung and committee members, Region Hluttaw Representative U Thaik Soe Oo, Township Women's Affairs Federation Chairperson Daw Myat Aung, departmental officials, teachers, students, members of the Maternal and Child Welfare Association, and local residents.

A total of 400 saplings—100 padauk, 100 phyaukseik, 150 tamar, and 50 teak—were planted during the ceremony.— Win Myat
